A bright star in the night sky beckoned travelers to Bethlehem as the miracle of Christmas began. This star guided the Wisemen, who journeyed from distant lands, and the shepherds who left their flocks to join in the joyous celebration. The Little Town Series authentically reproduces the essence of the birthplace of Jesus. Based on research, this location was a marketplace between Jerusalem and Hebron.
The architecture is a faithful rendering of the shape and style of buildings that are thousands of years old. The thick sun-dried brick walls helped keep the interior of these buildings at a comfortable temperature, day and night. The inn, like other buildings, was also built of sun-dried brick. Typically, the inn grew as demand did; expanding from a single room, additional space for travelers and animals was added as needed. The essence of this scene will continue to inspire and gladden those who celebrate Christmas.
